Unlock-4 opens up the economy more. As economic activity intensifies, the demand for labor has increased, especially in industrial cities. But in the absence of means of transport, business activities do not seem to be returning to the fast track. Keeping this in mind, the Railways has now decided to bring more than a hundred special trains back on track.

A railway ministry spokesperson said that more trains are being planned to accommodate more passengers. The states from which trains are to be run and the states to be known are being approached for the operation of trains. After the approval of the states, it will be announced to run additional special trains.

The railway is currently operating 230 special trains. But due to the increasing demand for workers in industrial cities, ticket waiting is going on in these trains. Sleeper and AC3 tickets are full till September in almost all trains going from Bihar, Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, and eastern Uttar Pradesh to Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi, and other industrial cities.
