BENGALURU: Narcotic Control Bureau sleuths detained a Goa-based cabbie on charges of drug peddling. F Ahmed, 30, a resident of Calangute, is a driver with a private resort in Goa and has been supplying drugs, curated marijuana in particular, to tourists visiting the state and customers in Bengaluru.
The Bengaluru-based customers have strong links with 'Page 3 celebrities', NCB said in a release on Tuesday. NCB said Ahmed was arrested as part of its probe into smuggling of marijuana in Delhi and Mumbai. The marijuana reached Delhi through foreign post; its destination was Mumbai. "We have seized 3.5kg; the price of seized marijuana per gram is Rs 5,000," NCB said.
