Gurugram: 113 new cases, tally inches closer to 12,000

GURUGRAM: Inching closer to the 12,000 mark, the city reported 113 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Monday, taking the total tally to 11,917. As the total cases is increasing gradually, the number of active cases has also increased to 994, of which 858 patients are in home isolation.
In the last 24 hours, 2,242 tests were conducted — 790 were RT-PCR, 1,055 were rapid antigen and 397 were conducted in the private labs. The health department has made a new schedule for testing in camps. From September 1, the department will conduct tests in camps organised under 22 urban primary health centres (UPHCs) across the district.
Civil surgeon Dr Virender Yadav said that anyone who shows symptoms of Covid-19 should get themselves tested at these camps for free. According to the officials, 84 people recovered on Monday.
