Noida: Owners and management officials of a pen manufacturing firm have been booked 20 days after a security guard died in a massive blaze that engulfed the company’s factory. This came after the family of the deceased alleged that the death was caused due to negligence, police said.
The security guard’s family also claimed that they were not informed about his death by the company. The family members have been demanding action against company officials via social media sites. Some Twitter users have been posting pictures of the guard and his family, demanding justice.
Phase III station house officer Amit Singh said that an FIR has been lodged in the case against the accused officials of the company — Sanjay Sharma, Mani Modi, Gaurav Chand, Rajnish Chandra Jain and Priyank Aggarwal — under sections 287 (negligent conduct with respect to machinery) and 304 a (death due to negligence) of the IPC.
