Rhea\'s parents at DRDO for CBI questioning

In the latest development in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has summoned Rhea Chakraborty’s parents, Sandhya Chakraborty and Indrajit Chakraborty for the first round of questioning.

According to a report in TimesNow, the two were spotted arriving at the DRDO guest house, where the CBI officials are staying, on Tuesday morning.

In another development, Rajput’s ex-manager, Shruti Modi, has pinned the blame on Rajput’s girlfriend, Rhea, by alleging that the 28-year-old model-turned-actress ‘handled Sushant’s finances’, TimesNow reported.

Earlier on Monday, the CBI had questioned Rhea and her brother Showik for more than eight hours in connection with Rajput’s death. It happened to be the fourth straight day of questioning for the ‘Jalebi’ actress.

According to the news agency PTI, from the DRDO guest house, Rhea left for her residence in suburban Santacruz in the evening but could not enter the premises due to presence of a large number of media persons outside the building.

She did not step out of the car and directly reached the Santacruz police station to lodge a complaint.

So far, the ED (Enforcement Directorate) has grilled the actress twice, following an FIR registered by Rajput's father KK Singh at the Patna police station on July 25. Her father Indrajit, mother Sandhya, brother Showik, Rajput’s manager Samuel Miranda and Shruti Modi, and unknown persons have also been named in the Bihar Police FIR, and accused of cheating and abetting the actor’s suicide.

On August 19, the Supreme Court had ordered a CBI probe and dismissed Chakraborty's plea seeking transfer of the FIR from Patna to Mumbai. The CBI team had arrived in Mumbai on August 20, and has since questioned Rajput's flatmate Siddharth Pithani, cook Neeraj Singh and caretaker Dipesh Sawant.
