GUWAHATI: The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has decided to curtail the syllabus of classes 9 and 10 for this academic session.

Seba chairman RC Jain told TOI on Monday that the decision has been taken for all subjects in view of the academic loss due to the pandemic.

"Tomorrow (Tuesday) we will inform the academic institutions about the revised syllabus. 30 percent course contents have been curtailed for the students of class 9 and 10, who are going to appear in the final examination and boards next year," he said.

Last week, the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) took a final decision to curtail 30 percent of the course contents of class XI and XII this academic session, after students lost classes for months due to the pandemic. AHSEC officials also said students of classes XI and XII studying in AHSEC-affiliated institutions will be intimated about the revised course contents in September.
