Chandigarh: Administration lifts night curfew, bars to open from today

CHANDIGARH: The UT administration on Monday lifted night curfew (10 pm to 5 pm) and allowed opening of bars in hotels and restaurants from Tuesday, following the Unlock 4.0 guidelines of the central government.

A senior official of UT excise and taxation department said they will start the process of depositing licence fee and accordingly issue permit. Licence holders can then open bars in their outlets, he said.
In a review meeting on Monday, UT administrator V P Singh Badnore directed doctors to focus on symptomatic patients and take special care of their health. He also mentioned that Covid positive persons staying in home isolation should be regularly monitored. They should be brought to hospital in case there is deterioration or aggravation of their medical condition. The control room must check their status every day over the phone and the ambulance should be ready to shift them to hospital. Such facilities should be available roundthe-clock, he ordered
