Telangana IT and industries minister KT Rama RaoHYDERABAD: The Telangana government on Tuesday said it intends to work towards fostering the culture of innovation at the school level.
Telangana IT and industries minister KT Rama Rao asked Telangana State Innovation Cell (TSIC) to plan more outreach programmes aimed at schools. The minister also said that the IT & industries departments will be working with the state education department to introduce a course credits system for students working on innovation & start-up related subjects.
Besides schools, KTR said that organizations like TSIC, THub, TWorks and WeHub should provide the necessary support for our rural innovators so that the agriculture and its allied sectors can also benefit from the state’s innovation ecosystem.
On Tuesday, the minister reviewed various initiatives of TSIC and T-Hub along with T-Hub CEO Ravi Narayen and IT department principal secretary Jayesh Ranjan. The minister asked the T-Hub team to work towards operationalizing T-Hub centres in tier 2 cities like Warangal, Karimnagar and Khammam.
