While Eoin Morgan’s team will be looking to seal the series after winning the second T20I, Babar Azam’s Pakistan would be hoping for their first win in the tour in a bid to equalize the series. The first T20I of the series was washed out while England came back strong to win the second match by five wickets. Follow live updates below-
A brilliant over by Saqib Mahmood brings the proceedings to a close as he lets Pakistan get just nine runs from it, stopping the destructive Mohammad Hafeez in his tracks. He ends the innings on an unbeaten 86 and helped Pakistan reach 190/4 at the end of 20 overs. Kudos to the brilliant Haider Ali, who scored a commendable 54 on his debut. England now need 191 runs to win.
After a comparatively timid over, scoring just 11 runs facing Saqib, Pakistan up the ante once again. Hafeez (80*) brings out the big guns again as he sends one over the ropes facing Jordan, but tides change quickly as Shadad (15) is sent back to the pavilion by Jordan. A brilliant catch by Curran. On comes Imad Wasim, and he finishes the over on 4*. PAK are 181/4 after 19 overs.
YET ANOTHER ONE! Hafeez hits his fifth six of the innings and Curran has his head in his hands. PAK are 159/3 after 17 overs.
Hafeez and Shadab have not taken much time at all to get back to hitting ways! Facing Gregory on his final over, both of them hit him for two fours and gets 14 runs from the over. Pakistan nearing another big total here. PAK are 148/3 after 16 overs.
BREAKTHROUGH! Jordan comes back into the attack and makes Eoin Morgan a very happy man! Haider Ali couldn't handle his full-length delivery and he is clean bowled. The teenager departs for 54. PAK are 132/3 after 14.3 overs.
After punishing Curran in the previous over with a maximum, Hafeez (50*) now unleashes his wrath on Rashid again with yet another six -- his fourth of the afternoon. With a four, he reaches his 13th T20I fifty! PAK are 130/2 after 14 overs.
His first match in his career, and he scores a half-century in England. Take a bow, Haider Ali! The teenager hits Gregory on the last ball of the over for a sublime four and reached the mark on 28 balls. 5 fours and 2 sixes. PAK are 108/2 after 12 overs.
While all eyes were on Haider for his incoming fifty, Hafeez steals the limelight with a magnificent hit! He breaks the shackles as he sends Rashid's delivery over the ropes. He adds another one on the next ball! PAK are 100/2 after 11 overs.
OH DEAR! Sam Billings has misjudged Haider's shot really poorly and has breathed an extra life into the Pakistan attack. Off Gregory's delivery, Haider tried to slog it and fortunately gets four runs. Haider's on 44* from 23 balls. PAK are 84/2 after 10 overs.
Despite Gregory's efforts near the boundary, he couldn't save his team some runs as he touched the rope trying to stop Hafeez's (13*) shot. Adil Rashid concedes 11 runs from his over. The visitors are in song; Haider's on 39*. PAK are 77/2 after 9 overs.
Well, not everyone can have as good as a start as Moeen Ali right? Lewis Gregory joins the attack, and Haider Ali just sends his first delivery to the stands over deep square leg. The 19-year-old debutant isn't playing like one. PAK are 66/2 after 8 overs.
Jordan gets on with his second over, and Ali (22*) adds to the first boundary of his career. Although the first one was a lucky inside edge, the second one was brilliantly placed to backward square leg. Consecutive. PAK are 47/2 after 6 overs.
