Perez (left index finger) threw his normal bullpen session and reported no ill effects from the blister he’s been battling.

Mike Kickham is likely to factor into the Red Sox pitching equation for Wednesday. The left-hander was recalled from the alternate site Monday to fill one of three available roster spots. Kickham last pitched in the big leagues with the Giants in 2014 and was signed by Boston in December.

"Kickham is going to be in that mix," Red Sox manager Ron Roenicke said. "Whether he starts or whether we have an opener and then he comes in, we haven’t decided yet. That’s what we’re kind of looking at."

Fellow left-hander Kyle Hart isn’t guaranteed a fourth start while he remains with the Red Sox. Hart pitched to a 13.00 earned-run average through his first three and has been dropped from the rotation. Roenicke said Hart would be available out of the bullpen Tuesday and Wednesday.
