Representative ImageGUWAHATI: The Board of Secondary Education, Assam, has decided to curtail the syllabus of Class 9 and 10 students for the current academic session by 30%.
The board’s chairman RC Jain told TOI on Monday that the decision has been taken for all subjects in view of the academic loss owing to the pandemic. “Tomorrow (Tuesday) we will inform the academic institutions about the revised syllabus. 30% course contents have been curtailed for the students of Class 9 and 10, who are going to appear for the final examination and boards next year,” he added.
Last week, the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council had decided to cut 30% of the syllabus for Class XI and XII students. Officials had also said students of Classes XI and XII studying in AHSEC-affiliated institutions will be intimated about the revised course contents in September.
