HYDERABAD:
Telangana on Monday recorded 1,873 new cases of Covid-19 and nine deaths, even as testing saw a decline in the state going down from 42,000 to 37,791. With the latest numbers, the total number of cases so far in the state are 1,24, 963, while the number of Covid-19 deaths stand at 827.
A total of 92,836 patients have so far recovered from the
coronavirus infection, till date. Of the 37,791 patients tested on Monday, 45 per cent patients tested were primary contacts of patients who have tested positive over the last few days while 14 per cent were secondary contacts and the remaining 44 per cent were new patients.
As per the latest details from the state health department, the number of symptomatic cases out of the total positive cases recorded so far account for 31 per cent of the total cases (38,738) while asymptomatic cases account for the remaining 69 per cent.
Among districts,
the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits recorded 360 cases, followed by Karimnagar which recorded 180 cases. This was followed by Ranga Reddy with 129 cases, Khammam with 103 cases,
Nizamabad with 94 cases and Warangal Urban with 94 cases and Siddipet with 85 cases. meanwhile all 33 districts in the state recorded new cases on Monday.
