With 125 new cases, city’s tally now 11,800

Gurgaon: The city on Sunday reported 125 new Covid-19 cases taking the tally to 11,804 cases. The health department said the total recoveries in the city stands at 10,706 with 87 people recovering on Sunday. There were no deaths reported from the infection in the last 24 hours, officials said. Till date, 133 people have died of Covid-19 in the city, of whom 93 had comorbidities.
According to the health department, 20 people were put under government quarantine on Sunday. The district has a total of 965 active cases, of which 827 are in home isolation. The health authorities were able to collect 2,001 samples in the past 24 hours for antigen and RT-PCR tests.
So far,1,70, 558 people have been put under surveillance in the district. Till Friday, the state had tested 11,03,832 people. While the highest number of tests have been done in Gurgaon (1,70,973) , followed by Faridabad (1,27,771) and Sonipat (82,084). District Charkhi Dadri is at the bottom in terms of sampling as only 12,583 samples have been collected till August 29.
