LUCKNOW: The father of the minor girl, who allegedly shot her mother and brother on Saturday, lodged an FIR against unknown persons even as the police started proceedings to take her in remand on Sunday.
The 16-year-old girl, a national-level shooter, allegedly shot her mother, 45, and brother, 17, at her father's official residence in Lucknow. Her father, a senior Railways officer posted in Delhi, reached Lucknow on Saturday night and lodged an FIR for murder against unidentified persons at Gautampalli police station, said assistant commissioner of police, Hazratganj, Raghvendra Mishra.
“I was informed about an incident with my son and wife at the official residence by my relatives. When I reached the house, I found both were shot by unidentified miscreants. My daughter who stays in same house was in a state of trauma,” the complaint says.

The ACP said that on the basis of the complaint, an FIR under the charges of murder was lodged against unidentified persons.
However, deputy commissioner of police, Central, Somen Barma said that the minor accused girl would be produced in a court for seeking a remand. On Saturday, the 16-year-old had confessed to her crime in the presence of her grandparents.
As per her confession, she first slashed her wrist and wrote “I am a disqualified human”, using fruit jam, on a mirror in the bathroom. Then she also fired a shot at the same mirror. Later, she came out of the bathroom and shot her mother on the head and later her brother. Both the victims were probably taking naps when they were said, the police say.
A senior officer privy to the probe disclosed to TOI that the girl had been sent to a government hospital for examination and would be produced before a court on Monday. The officer also said that the FSL team has collected her footsteps from the room, and her fingerprints from the fruit-jam jar along with the .22 caliber pistol and her fingerprints on it as evidence in the case.
“We had preserved the scene of crime and also the bathroom where she had reportedly written on the mirror. The handwriting would be matched handwriting on her notebooks and used as evidence,” he said.
On Sunday, the girl was kept inside the house throughout the day in the presence of female constables. Around 12 noon, the post-mortem examination was conducted at the mortuary of King George’s Medical University (KGMU). A KGMU source revealed that shock and haemorrhage caused by gunshot injury led to the death of the two. “No other injury was found on their bodies,” he said.
“The 17-year-old boy was shot on the frontal bone on the left side of the skull, and the body was in a prone position, while the bullet got stuck inside the skull, whereas the woman was hit on the right side of her chest,” said a forensic expert on the basis of the autopsy.
Later, around 4 pm, the bodies were taken for cremation where the girl’s father performed the last rites. Senior railway officials, meanwhile, kept visiting the house throughout the day.
Before the bodies were sent for cremation, they were brought home from the mortuary. The girl’s requested the cops to allow her to see the faces of her dead mother and brother. However, she did not show interest and remained unmoved, according to police.
No media person was allowed to enter the house while Railway Protection Force (RPF) sleuths kept guard at the gate of the bungalow in Gautampalli area where the family lives.
