Haryana: IPS officer Rajesh Kalia assumes charge as Ambala SP

AMBALA: IPS officer Rajesh Kalia on Monday assumed charge as Ambala superintendent of police.
Earlier, he was deputed with the Haryana crime investigation department at Panchkula. The outgoing SP, Abhishek Jorwal, has been transferred as SP of Rewari district.
After joining the office, Kalia said it would be his endeavor that during his tenure as SP, the district should be free of corruption and crime.
“On receipt of information about any crime, appropriate action will be taken immediately without any delay, so that ordinary citizens do not have to face any kind of difficulty and inconvenience. A special campaign will be launched in the district for prevention of crimes and detention of criminals, in which special efforts will be made to apprehend the gangs of persons of criminal nature. Special arrangements will be made to keep the traffic running smoothly. Appropriate legal action will be taken against illegal miners,” Kalia said.
