Body of Gujarati found by BSF personnel from canal near Indo-Bangladesh border

Border Security Force (BSF) personnel have found an autopsy from a canal located in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal near the India-Bangladesh border. According to a statement issued by the paramilitary force, the Aadhaar card found near the body revealed that the deceased was Sheikh Imran (24), a resident of Juhapura in Ahmedabad. The statement said that the soldiers had seen the dead body floating in Vidyadhari Nalla in Ghojdanga on Friday during regular patrolling of the area.

Failing to identify the dead body of the local villagers, the soldiers searched the body and found an Aadhaar card. The body was handed over to Basirhat police station. The police officer said that the circumstances of the deceased's arrival in Ghojdanga from Gujarat and the reasons for the death are being investigated and the family of Imran has been informed of the incident.
