The state government will issue guidelines based on directions from the Centre.
“Lucknow Metro will start services in a phased manner after the state government issues guidelines,” said UP Metro Rail Corporation’s (UPMRC) public relations officer Hitesh Chandana. “Sixteen trains were operating before the lockdown, but we might reduce the number when the services resume. UPMRC had made all the necessary arrangements in June itself,” he added.
It will be mandatory for passengers to wear face masks and install Aarogya Setu app on their mobile phones while travelling in the Metro. All entry points will have hand sanitisers for commuters. Passengers will also have to undergo thermal screening.
Stations and trains will be cleaned and sanitized regularly.
