Pune: Over three lakh candidates apply for admissions to Industrial Training Institutes

The number of students registered for admission to ITI has crossed three lakh mark

Pune: The online admission process implemented by the Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET) for admission in Industrial Training Institute (ITI) is getting good response this year as well. The number of students registered for admission to ITI has crossed three lakh.

A total of one lakh 45 thousand 632 seats are available for ITI admission this year. Twice as many applications of the capacity for ITI admission have been received so far. Therefore, ITI admission seats are not likely to remain vacant this year.

The ITI admission process has started from August 1. The last date for participation in the ITI admission process is Monday (August 31). So far, more than three lakh students have registered for admission. More than two and a half lakh students have completed the process of filling the application form. The process is being implemented for admission in government and private ITIs in the state.

CURRENT STATUS OF ITIS IN THE STATE

  • A total of 417 ITIs in 358 tehsils
  • Total admission capacity in the state: One lakh 45 thousand 632
  • 61 organisations in tribal areas
  • Four high level institutions for the children of Scheduled Castes and Neo-Buddhists
  • Two separate organizations for minorities
  • 43 Government Institutions
  • 28 tribal ashram schools ITI
  • Private ITI: 538

CALL CENTRES FOR STUDENTS’ ASSISTANCE

If students have difficulty in filling up the online application, they should seek the help of the information provided on the website https://admission.dvet.gov.in or the call centres in their region. Also, if required, students can contact the nearest ITI and fill up the online admission form within the stipulated time.
