Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in isolation
"My OSD (Officer on Special Duty) and PSO (Personal Security Officer) have found corona positive. My (test) report is negative at the moment, but I will be in isolation for the next four days as a precautionary measure. This is a period of crisis, everyone please be careful," the Chief Minister tweeted.
Delimitation panel to visit 4 NE states, J-K
- The Delimitation Commission, set up to redraw the constituencies of Assam, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, will visit the north-eastern states and the Union Territory after preparing a "broad framework" of the delimitation exercise.
- The delimitation panel will redraw the Lok Sabha and assembly constituencies of the four north-eastern states and, work on increasing the assembly seats of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir as per the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act.
'Extend all possible help to students appearing for JEE, NEET exams'
- Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has urged ruling BJD legislators to extend all possible help to students appearing for JEE and NEET exams in the state - which is currently grappling with challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and floods.
- It is responsibility of the MLAs to make sure that students in their constituencies get to write their papers without any hassle, Patnaik said.

'Flying to India for NEET amid COVID-19 risk stressful'
- Several Indian students have said the Supreme Court's refusal to allow exam centres for the NEET in Gulf countries has left them the lurch. Many of these students have their JEE Main exam in the Gulf and the NEET in India. While exam centres have been set up abroad for JEE Main, there is no such plan for NEET.
- Reaching India in time to be able to complete the mandatory quarantine period before the exam, arranging a stay before taking a flight back home, additional expenses, the risk of contracting COVID-19 and being quarantined again back home, are among several concerns on the mind of the aspirants.

Assam wants ST status for 6 ethnic communities: CM
- The Assam government wants to accord Scheduled Tribe (ST) status to six ethnic communities and will soon send the report of a Group of Ministers (GoM) formed to suggest the modalities to the Centre, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has said.
- He also said that the proposed Autonomous Council for the Moran community will start functioning soon.
- The six communities are Koch Rajbongshi, Tai Ahom, Chutia, Matak, Moran and Tea Tribes.

- Afghanistan's president has appointed a council for national reconciliation, which will have the final say on whether the government will sign a peace deal with the Taliban after what is expected to be protracted and uncertain negotiations with the insurgents.
- The negotiations were envisaged under a US-Taliban peace agreement signed in February as intra-Afghan talks to decide the war-torn country's future.
Haryana govt revokes order directing shops, malls to remain shut on Mondays, Tuesdays
- A day after the Union Home Ministry announced guidelines for 'Unlock 4', the Haryana government revoked an earlier order directing all shops and shopping malls, except those dealing in essential good and services, to remain closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
- In a tweet on Sunday, Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij said that the order had been revoked since the Unlock 4.0 guidelines released by the Centre on Saturday did not give states the right to impose a lockdown.

Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar's building has been sealed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) as a precautionary measure amid the coronavirus pandemic.
