Unlock 4: Check what’s allowed and what remains closed from September 1

The Ministry of Home Affairs on Saturday said that there shall be no restriction on inter-State and intra-State movement of persons and goods, and no separate permission/ e-permit will be required for such movements during Unlock 4.

In a statement the MHA said, "State/ UT Governments shall not impose any local lockdown (State/ District/ sub-division/City/ village level), outside the containment zones, without prior consultation with the central government."

WHAT’S ALLOWED

• Metro rail will operate from September 7 in a phased manner.
• Social, academic, entertainment, cultural, religious and political functions and other congregations will be allowed with a ceiling of 100 persons from September 21.
• Open air theatres will be allowed to function with effect from September 21.
• Outside containment zones, States or UTs may allow upto 50 per cent of teaching and non-teaching staff to be called to the schools for online teaching.
• There shall be no limit on inter-state and intra-state movement of persons and goods.
• Now, no separate permission or e-pass will be required for such movements.

WHAT’S NOT ALLOWED

• Schools, colleges, educational and coaching institutions will continue to remain closed for students and regular class activity up to September 30.
• Cinema theatres, halls, swimming pools, entertainment parks will continue to remain closed.
• International air travel, excluding permitted by the centre, to remain suspended.
