AMBALA: Ninety-eight people tested positive for Covid-19 in
Ambala, increasing the
case tally to 3,608 in the district on Saturday, with 440 active cases.
"Of the 98 new cases, 46 are from
Ambala City, 19 each from Ambala Cantt and Chourmastpur, six from Naraingarh, four from Shahzadpur, and two each from Barara and Mullana”, said Ambala civil surgeon Dr Kuldeep Singh.
As many as 109 patients were discharged, taking the
recovery count to 3,137 on the day, he said.
“With the recovery rate of 86.95%, the case tally reached 3,608 in Ambala, of which; 3,137 patients got discharged, 31 died and 440 are active cases”, he said.
“So far, we have collected 58,409 samples for Covid-19 testing in Ambala, of which, 48,393 are RT-PCR samples and 10,016 are
antigen testing kit samples. In the district, we have collected 51,781 samples per 10 lakh population”, said Dr Singh.
