NEW DELHI: PM Narendra Modi on Friday said the government’s emphasis while improving policing was on creating “a modern, effective and sensitive security architecture that inspires a sense of confidence among all sections of society”. He underlined the requirement of keeping pace with fast-changing technology.
Greeting the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPRD) on the golden jubilee of its foundation day, the PM said in a message shared by BPRD, “Over the last 50 years, BPRD has been unwavering in its commitment in the service of the nation.”
He said the focus needed to be on innovation and research to utilise technology. “It is vital to continue updating areas of skilling, research and training to further the outreach and capabilities of the police force,” he added.
