Anil Baijal NEW DELHI: Lieutenant governor Anil Baijal has asked officials to expedite filling up of vacancies in various departments of Delhi government. Several departments are grappling with a shortage of staff, including government hospitals, municipal schools, Delhi Fire Service and health department.
The LG held a meeting with heads of services department and the chairperson of Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) on Thursday to review the recruitment process to fill vacancies in the government. "Advised additional chief secretary (services) and chairperson DSSSB for expediting process in a time-bound manner," the LG said. He has also directed the official to review the vacancy position every month and submit a progress report.
The sources said, around 900 grade-B positions and 1,200 grade- D positions are vacant.
