Thane: With 346 new Covid cases, Kalyan-Dombivli crosses 28k-mark

KALYAN: Kalyan-Dombivli, which is one of the worst Covid-affected areas in Thane district and in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) region, crossed the 28,000 mark on Saturday. On Saturday, the twin city reported fresh 346 Covid-19 patients and 8 deaths, taking the total numbers of patients to 28,274, which includes 609 deaths.
On Saturday, 313 patients also got discharged, taking the recovery rate to 86%. So far a total of 24,453 patients have recovered in the city while remaining 3,212 active patients are still taking treatment.
Meanwhile, the neighbouring Ulhasnagar city on Saturday reported 35 cases, taking the tally of patients here to 7,723, including 224 deaths. The Ambernath on Saturday reported 37 fresh cases, taking the total to 4,899. Badlapur city reported 56 patients, taking the tally of patients here to 4,045. In trio satellite cities - Ulhasnagar, Ambernath and Badlapur the recovery rate is above 90%.
