After a cloudy morning, Noida witnesses heavy rain

NOIDA: After a cloudy morning, Noida and Greater Noida witnessed moderate to heavy rainfall on Friday.
Eastern parts of Noida and western parts of Greater Noida woke up to a cloudy morning on Friday and received heavy rain during the day. Western parts of Noida including sectors 112, 122, 16 and 18 also witnessed moderate to heavy rain.
"Light intensity rain would continue to occur over and nearby Aligarh, Hathras, Mathura. Thunderstorm with moderate intensity rain would occur over and nearby Karnal, Shamli Hastinapur, Gohana, Siyana, Pilkhua, Hapur, Faridabad, Ballbhgarh, Noida, Ghaziabad, Hindon AF station, Greater Noida, Sikandrabad, Dadri, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Siyana, Modinagar, Garhmukteshawar, Moradabad, Karnal, Isolated places of Delhi during the next 2 hours," tweeted IMD at 11.28am on Friday.

Earlier, a Met official said, “There has been a shift in the monsoon trough but it could not reach close to NCR like it was earlier forecast. Heavy rain is also likely to occur at places on Friday.”
