Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal has said that the country is making rapid progress towards using clean and renewable energy. Mr. Goyal said this while launching the video-conferencing initiative of Energy, Environment and Water Council (CEEW) and Will grow Innovation Foundation to make electricity a means of livelihood.


He said, "India is making rapid progress towards using clean and renewable energy." We should take advantage of modern technology and consider measures to promote livelihood in villages. I congratulate CHEV and Vilgro for their initiative. Electricity livelihood can have a multifaceted effect in your villages. ''

He said that this initiative can also fulfill the vision of the Prime Minister's Vocal Operation Local and can also help in providing a global look. People's livelihood will be improved by the collective work of innovators and start-ups, industry, and government.

He said that I want to praise him for completing 10 years of CEEV serving the nation. Institutions like CEEV are helping to make the country clean.

During this, he referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call for a self-reliant India. On this occasion, Chief Executive CEO and Special Representative of UN Secretary-General of Sustainable Energy, Damilola Ogunbi, Deputy Chairman of NITI Aayog, Rajiv Kumar were also present.

CEEW informed that a provision of Rs 22 crore has been made for capital and technical support to Indian enterprises working on clean energy-based livelihood solutions initially. Under this, an amount of one crore will be provided to six selected enterprises to deal with the crisis caused by COVID-19.
