RAJKOT: The Greater Rajkot Chamber of Commerce and Industries (GRCCI) has made a representation against BSNL and PGVCL for the issues of snapping of telephone connections and regularities in metre reading.
“Despite paying the telephone bills, BSNL has disconnected many connections, due to which many traders have suffered in their businesses,” said GRCCI president Dhansukh Vora in a press statement.
“When people approach the BSNL office to register their complaints, the complaints are not looked into. The reason is that that the BSNL has outsourced its grivence redressal department to a firm in Indore district of Madhya Pradesh, which fails to solve the issues,” added Vora.
Apart from the BSNL, the GRCCI has also complained against PGVCL, alleging irregularities in metre reading. “The PGVCL has outsourced metre reading work to a private company, which does not have a trained staff. That apart, many of the consumers have solar power panels on their roof tops, which creates confusion in metre reading,” said Vora.
