NEW DELHI: Nifty PSU Bank index was trading with gains at 11:19AM (IST) on Friday.
Shares of Canara Bank (up 7.53 per cent), Bank of Baroda (up 6.06 per cent), Indian Bank (up 5.85 per cent), J & K Bank (up 5.85 per cent) and Bank of India (up 5.41 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 4.55 per cent up at 1597.0 around 11:19AM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 77.70 points at 11636.95, while the BSE Sensex was up 296.88 points at 39410.35.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, GMR Infra, Federal Bank and Bank of Baroda were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Coromandel Int., GMR Infra, Larsen & Toubro Infotech Ltd., Central Depository Services (India) Ltd. and Atul Ltd hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade.
