Chennai Metrowater warns of sewage overflow

CHENNAI: There might be overflow of sewage in Villivakkam, Puthagaram, Korattur and Baba Nagar areas of Villivakkam zone on Friday as Chennai Metrowater will be executing interconnection work between Villivakkam Sector A Sewage Pumping Station and the JPC Main on 200 Feet Road.
Work would start at 9am on Friday and go on throughout the day, an official release said.
If any sewage overflow is noticed, the public can reach out to the following officers for assistance and immediate action.
