Hyderabad: Two motorists die after hitting median

HYDERABAD: Two friends died after their bike on which they were travelling hit a divider while negotiating a turning in Durganagar cross roads in Mailardevpally near Telangana capital Hyderabad on Wednesday late night. Police said that overspeeding is the cause of death.
It was at around 12am on Thursday that Mohammed Sajid, 28, and Kaja Nizamuddin, 30, went to Aramghar when the mishap took place.
Both the deceased are residents of Bandlaguda. The accident took place when they were returning home. It is learnt that it was Sajid who was riding the bike, which also belongs to him.
The police on Thursday released CCTV footage, which was captured at Durganagar cross roads.
The footage showed the motorist negotiating a turning at Durganagar cross roads by taking a curve at high speed. The bike directly went towards the road median by moving to the right. The rider who lost control over the speeding vehicle hit the median and both flew in the air before falling on the road. Both of them hit the pole of the street light at the median, while they were in air, before falling onto the road. The bike got mangled.
Immediately, the locals called an ambulance and rushed them to the hospital, but they died on the way to the hospital. Both the deceased are welders.
