Hisense is an international TV brand that offers premium technology at costs much lower than the competition. Put in other words, if you’re looking for the best in class HDR format or 4K resolution TV at the cheapest price possible, most probably you will find a Hisense TV suiting your needs.
Hisense unveiled three ranges of smart televisions earlier this month of which is the 55A71F. Keeping up with the trend, the TV has very slight bezels and comes equipped with dolby vision that offers nice and sharp images, decent black levels, and good colour balance. Although Hisense claims to have a 30W speaker and dolby atmos support, the sound quality is unbalanced and not what you’d expected. You might want to use external speakers to bring out a good audio experience.
Powered by Android 9 Pie, the TV has a built in chromecast, Google Assistant available just at a press of a button and with the access to Google App Store you can download all the streaming apps and games without any hassle.
Setting up the TV is not very difficult. You can either put it up on the tabletop stand that comes within the box, this is simple and can be done on your own or you can wall mount it which does require assistance. For signing in you just require an Android phone on the same Wi-Fi network as the TV and ta-da! it’s done, ready to watch. For connectivity, there are 3 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports, a headphone jack, analog AV input and ethernet.
The remote controller has all the buttons you’ll ever need to navigate the TV placed tidily in a sleek and all black design. On the top of the remote you will find dedicated buttons for YouTube, Netflix, Disney + Hotstar, Google Play and Prime Video which helps you get quick access to these apps saving a lot of toggling time on the home screen. However, it does get difficult to find the right keys in a dark room since the remote is not back lit.
Summing up, if you’d ask me to choose between “to buy” or “not to buy”, I will definitely recommend TO BUY! Priced at INR 35,990/-, the Hisense 55A71F is worth every penny of this amount. Bonus point: These TVs are made in India!
