Haryana Education Minister Kanwar Pal on Wednesday assured the state assembly that the government would assess the condition of the coronavirus epidemic before allowing it to conduct examinations for various courses in universities.

The minister said this in response to the concerns raised by Congress legislators including Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda and former minister Geeta Bhukkal.

Raising the issue, former state education minister Bhukkal said that some universities in the state have released the examination schedule for the next month.

Kanwar Pal said that to ensure the safety of the students, the government will take all precautions while conducting the examination.
