Lucknow: Dowry death accused commits suicide by hanging in a jail

The real place of every criminal is the jail where he faces the punishment of his deeds. Elkin sometimes gets surprised in prison. Something similar happened in Lucknow District Jail where an accused committed suicide by hanging himself. The deceased was serving a sentence on charges of murder and dowry murder since 2018.

Bandi Aman Gopi, a resident of Baldi Kheda police station, hanged himself in the barrack late Wednesday. For the past two days, he was locked in loneliness barracks. Two days earlier, the prisoner was assaulted while changing the barracks. According to police, there are bruises on his body.

It was learned that the prisoner was locked up in a loneliness barrack after opposing the assault. Police are investigating the matter along with sending the body for postmortem. It was told that the deceased had been serving a sentence in prison since 2018 in the case of captive murder and dowry murder.
