Most Victorians are in support of Melbourne's strict Stage 4 lockdown restrictions as the city grapples with a deadly coronavirus outbreak, a new poll has revealed.
Roy Morgan conducted the snap SMS survey on Tuesday and Wednesday, asking more than 2,000 Victorians three of six questions on the restrictions.
Residents were quizzed about the 5km travel bubble, the closure of dine-in restaurants and schools, the 8pm-5am curfew, mandatory face masks and bans on visiting immediate family members.
The survey revealed a large majority of Victorians support five of the six restrictions - but were split on rules concerning visiting family members they don't live with.

Respondents were split on whether Melburnians should be allowed to visit family members they don't live with
Of all Victorians, 43 per cent said Melburnians should be able to visit the homes of immediate family members.
Metropolitan Melbourne residents in Stage 4 lockdown are only allowed to leave their homes to shop for essentials, to exercise and for permitted work.
They are also allowed to visit family for compassionate reasons and for caregiving, as well as to seek medical treatment.
Residents in Melbourne are also subject to a curfew from 8pm to 5am.
The whole state of Victoria is required to wear a face covering when leaving their homes, which is supported by 89 per cent of Victorians questioned - including 90 per cent of Melburnians and 87 per cent of residents in Country Victoria.
A majority of Victorians agreed schools and day care centres in Melbourne should not be open to everyone (76 per cent) and that cafes and restaurants in the city should not be able to provide table service with proper social distancing (75 per cent).
The survey also revealed 72 per cent of Victorians agree Melbourne's curfew should not end, while 71 per cent of respondents determined Melburnians should not be allowed to travel outside of their 5km bubble.

Roy Morgan CEO Michele Levine said the survey revealed Victorians supported the implementation of Stage 4 restrictions.
'However, there is one Stage 4 restriction that is more contentious with 43 per cent of Victorians saying Melburnians should now be able to visit the home of their immediate families,' she said.
'This rises to 45 per cent of Melbourne residents, 47 per cent of younger Victorians aged under 35 and a majority of 52 per cent of older Victorians aged 65+ agreeing with this sentiment.
'The take-out from the responses of Victorians is that there is strong support for the measures taken by the Victorian Government to get a handle on COVID-19, stop the spread, and follow the path of other states which are largely in control of the virus after the first lockdown.'
The survey results were released on Thursday as Victoria reported 113 new coronavirus cases and 23 deaths.
The fatalities take the state toll to 485 and the national figure to 572.
It's also the third-highest daily death toll for Australia after Wednesday's 24 and a record 25 on August 5.
But the new cases are the lowest since 74 on July 5, the last time that number was below 100.
