NEW DELHI:
Honda Cars India on Wednesday launched the facelifted Jazz. The upgraded Jazz is aimed to offer a sportier look, class-leading packaging, advanced tech and functions and one class-above experience.
The 2020 Honda Jazz starts at Rs 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The Jazz goes up to Rs 9.73 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-end variant.
The Honda Jazz will be offered in three trims- V, VX, and ZX. The flagship grade ZX trim is a new addition to the facelifted Jazz.
The 2020 Honda Jazz will be discarding the previous 1.5-litre diesel engine and will now come with BS6 compliant 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine. The engine will churn out 90 PS of power and offer a peak torque of 110 Nm.
The engine will either be paired to the existing 5-speed manual transmission or the 7-speed CVT transmission. The manual variants are claimed to offer a fuel economy of 16.6 kmpl and the CVT variants are claimed to offer a mileage of 17.7 kmpl.
The Honda Jazz has not undergone many changes in terms of design. On the outside, the premium hatchback features a redesigned front grille and the upgraded bumpers give a sporty look to the car both at the front and the rear. The upgraded Honda Jazz will feature the new chrome accentuated high gloss black grille, advanced LED package of the LED headlamp (inline shell) with integrated LED DRLs and new LED foglamps. The ZX trim also sports the new signature LED wing light. The revised LED package makes the Jazz appear a bit sharper than its predecessor. The Jazz borrows the same 15-inch alloy wheels from the outgoing model.
The in-cabin experience has also upgraded a bit with a few changes to the existing 7-inch infotainment system. The Honda Jazz will be offering some fresh new features like electric sunroof, cruise control and the new paddle shifters for CVT variants. The hatchback offers the same black dashboard and dual-tone black and beige interiors.
The 2020 Honda Jazz will be taking on other premium hatchbacks like Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza, Volkswagen Polo, Tata Altroz and the upcoming next-gen Hyundai i20.
