A woman who broke Stage 4 lockdown curfew in Melbourne to buy donuts is one of the latest Victorians to be hit with a $1,652 fine.
Victoria Police on Wednesday morning revealed 156 residents had been fined for breaching the chief health officer's directions in the past 24 hours.
There were 22 infringements of handed to Victorians who failed to wear a face covering when leaving the home without an exemption, while 46 were hit with a fine for curfew breaches.
Police also checked 17,298 cars at vehicle checkpoints, and 16 of those people were fined.

In one example of a breach, police said a woman was pulled over in Carlton, in Melbourne's inner-north, at 12.45am after she was seen driving without her headlights on.
The woman was asked why she was driving and told police she was going to a convenience store to buy some donuts.
In another instance, police said a drunk man was found sitting in the passenger seat of a car at 4am and told officers he had just come from a party at his friend's house.
Multiple residents across Metropolitan Melbourne were caught leaving their homes during curfew to buy fast food, police said.

Victorians are handed a $200 fine for failing to cover their face when outside and can be hit with a $1,652 infringement for breaching stay at home orders.
In the 24-hour period, Victoria Police conducted 4,474 spot checks on people at homes, businesses and public places across the state.
In Queensland, a 50-year-old woman was issued with a fine after she travelled 1,000km to Mackay from Tweed Heads in New South Wales, despite only having a pass to enter border towns.

The woman, who had a Border X-Pass which allowed her to go over the border locally, was pulled over for a roadside breath test at about 9.30pm on Monday.
On Wednesday, Deputy Police Commissioner Steve Gollschewski said police have seen 'some disappointing behaviour' of motorists.
'There was an intercept at a random breath test in Mackay in the last 24 hours where a person with an X-Pass that only allows them to go within the border bubble was found in Mackay,' he said.
'So that person has been issued with an on-the-spot fine and also placed into quarantine.'
Mackay is more than an 11-hour drive north of the NSW-QLD border.
