Gurugram sees 114 Covid cases, no deaths in past six days

GURUGRAM: The city on Tuesday reported 114 new Covid cases. At present, the city’s Covid tally stands at 11,162.
The health department said 83 people recovered from Covid-19 on Tuesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 10,173.
No one succumbed to the infection in the last 24 hours, officials said. The city last reported a Covid-related death on August 19.
Till date, 131 people have died in the city, of whom 92 had comorbidities.
On Tuesday, 10 people were put under government quarantine. The district has a total of 858 active cases, of which 760 are in home isolation. The health authorities were able to collect 2,524 samples in the past 24 hours for antigen and RT-PCR tests.
So far,1,59,748 people have been put under surveillance in the district. The health department has sent 1,53,914 samples for testing, of which 1,40,228 turned out to be negative, while the results of 1,039 are still awaited.
The state’s tally, meanwhile, rose to 56,608 on Tuesday with the addition of 1,148 new patients.
