Success is achieved not only by book knowledge but also by experience. The 45-year-old Niaz Mohammed alias Bridge Man of Meerut has proved this. Today, even big engineers are seen as dwarfs in building the Bailey Bridge in front of the fifth-grade pass Niaz. Niyaz has so far built over two dozen bridges on strategic roads passing through the country's borders.

Recently, Niaz has built the longest 360-meter Darcha bridge on the Manali-Leh strategic route as well as the superstructure of the Chandra Bridge connecting Atal Tunnel Rohtang on the Manali-Leh route. For this, all he needs is a map of the bridge made on blank paper. Apart from building bridges, Niaz also does the fabrication themselves. Niaz has nearly 22 years of experience in bridge construction. His family business is a bridge construction work.

The Rishikesh swing in Haridwar was built by Niaz's grandfather. Impressed by this talent of Niaz, the Director-General of Border Roads Organization has awarded him the medal. Niaz says that the Border Roads Organization is in addition to more than 100 bridges in Bhutan and Nepal with fabrication. It is said that the work of bridge construction is his family profession. He is never able to go home for years due to work.

While constructing the bridge, we encountered a storm that ran at a speed of 80 km.

Niaz said that launching the bridge on the North Portal of Atal Tunnel Rohtang was nothing less than a challenge. During this time, he has also faced a storm running at a speed of 80 km. Pyare Lal, manager of Garg & Garg Company, said that Niyaz has been associated with his company for the last 22 years. He is also known as Bridge Man due to his extraordinary talent.
