Stock market update: Nifty Financial Services index flat; Bajaj Holdings & Inv gains 4%

NEW DELHI: Nifty Financial Services index was trading flat at 11:32AM (IST) on Wednesday.

Shares of Bajaj Holdings & Investment (up 3.76 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Financial (up 2.0 per cent), Shriram Transport Finance (up 1.88 per cent), Axis Bank (up 1.85 per cent) and Bajaj Finserv (up 1.59 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While HDFC Asset Management Company (down 2.08 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance (down 1.39 per cent), SBI Life (down 1.37 per cent), Piramal Enterprises (down 1.13 per cent) and HDFC (down 0.73 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty Financial Services index was trading 0.11 per cent up at 11371.25 around 11:32AM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 2.70 points at 11469.55, while the BSE Sensex was down 53.78 points at 38790.1.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.

Shares of Tata Motors, YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Tata Power and Ibull HousingFin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Indiabulls Ventures (PP), Affle (India) Ltd., Ruchi Soya Inds, Hero MotoCorp and Bajaj Elec. hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade.
