HYDERABAD: More than 2,000 doctors and healthcare front workers have been affected by Covid-19 in Telangana so far, of which 8 have died, revealed health authorities even as cases continue on an upward spiral in the districts.
Speaking at the press conference held in Hyderabad, the director public health Telangana State, Dr G Srinivas Rao said that as predicted previously the cases have come down substantially in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits. The trend is as expected.”
There is an upward trend seen in seasonal flu as well. As per authorities, the symptoms of seasonal flu are similar to that of Covid-19. Health authorities asked people not to panic. The official added that during this month, over 5 lakh tests have been done, with testing ramped up substantially in the state and maintained that the state is going ahead in testing as per a planned strategy right from the time of the outbreak of the pandemic. Over 10 lakhs tests have been done so far.
