ERODE: More than 10 acres of land was submerged in water after a shutter of the lower Bhavani canal breached at Semandampalayam near Gobichettipalayam in Erode district on Tuesday.
Public works department (PWD) officials rushed to the spot and blocked the seepage by placing logs and sand bags.
