Coronavirus in India LIVE Updates | COVID-19 tests per million in India touch 26,685
With India having tested nearly 3.7 crore cumulative COVID-19 samples so far, the tests per million have further risen to 26,685 while the positivity rate has come down to 8.60 percent, the Union Health Ministry said today.
India is focusing on the "test, track and treat" strategy to contain the spread of the infection.
As the first step towards timely identification, prompt isolation and effective treatment, higher testing also results in limiting the spread of infection, it emphasised. (PTI)

Coronavirus in Singapore LIVE Updates | Singapore's single-day COVID-19 cases fall to five-month low with 31 new infections
Singapore on Tuesday recorded 31 COVID-19 cases, its lowest single-day figure since March. There was one imported case - who was placed on stay-home notice upon arrival in Singapore - and no community cases, said the Ministry of Health.
The seven imported cases reported on Monday came from India, the Netherlands and Indonesia, said the MOH.
Singapore has reported total 56,435 cases since the disease monitoring began in January 2020. With 423 more COVID-19 patients discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities on Monday, 54,587 have fully recovered from the infection.
Coronavirus in Mizoram LIVE Updates | Mizoram has reported 35 new COVID-19 cases, taking the northeastern state's COVID-19 tally to 953, as per an official statement. The new cases were reported from Aizawl district (31) and two cases each from Kolasib and Mamit districts.

Coronavirus in Puducherry LIVE Updates | Highest single-day spike of 571 COVID-19 cases
Puducherry today registered its highest single-day spurt of 571 new coronavirus cases and eight deaths, taking the overall tally to 11,426. Director of Health and Family Welfare S Mohan Kumar said in a release that the fresh infections were reported during the last 24 hours ending 10 am today in the Union Territory.
Of the four regions constituting the Union Territory, Puducherry accounted for 529 new cases followed by 36 in Karaikal and six in Yanam. (PTI)
