District magistrates to hold two meetings daily, review Covid work

Ghaziabad: The state government has directed district magistrates (DMs) to hold two meetings -- one with Covid hospitals in the morning and another with Covid command centre at 9pm -- on a daily basis and review the work done by the respective staff.
DMs will ensure that facility allocation of patients is done timely and see that Covid hospitals have all the required medicines and staff.
This direction has already been implemented in Ghaziabad and the first meeting at the command centre was held on Sunday night and Ghaziabad DM Ajay Shankar Pandey conducted a review meeting at District Combined Hospital on Monday morning.
Pandey said, “All works related to Covid patients such as facility allocation, surveillance and contact tracing among others will be reviewed during the night meetings, which will also be attended by the chief medical officer (CMO), nodal officers and staff concerned. Similarly, the morning meeting will be held at any one of the government Covid hospitals and matters related to patient’s treatment, facilities’ upgradation and availability of medicines will be reviewed.”
