NEW DELHI: Power stocks were trading lower at 02:06PM (IST) on Tuesday.
Shares of Bharat Heavy Electricals (down 2.93 per cent), Tata Power Company (down 2.3 per cent), NHPC (down 1.76 per cent), Thermax (down 1.06 per cent) and Torrent Power (down 0.58 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
While CESC (up 3.65 per cent), Adani Power (up 2.35 per cent), KEC International (up 1.41 per cent), Adani Green (up 1.06 per cent) and Siemens (up 0.37 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The S&P BSE Power index was trading 0.33 per cent down at 1738.37 around 02:06PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 9.30 points at 11457.15, while the BSE Sensex was down 2.07 points at 38797.01.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Phoenix Mills, YES Bank, Tata Power and Alok Industries were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Adani Enterpr., Max Financial Services, Affle (India) Ltd., Timken India and IOL Chemicals hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Shree Nidhi Trading Co. Ltd., Panth Infinity Ltd., Svaraj Trading & Agencies Ltd., Darshan Orna Ltd., Unistar Multimedia Ltd., SC Agrotech Ltd., Sagar Diamonds Ltd., N2N Technologies Ltd., Modulex Construction Technologies Ltd. and Ajwa Fun World & Resorts Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
