Falling trees, landslides and flooding plagued the roads of North Wales on Tuesday as Storm Francis battered North Wales.
70mph gusts and torrential rain were forecast as an amber weather warning was put in place between 2pm and 10pm.
During this time, homes were left without power in certain parts of Gwynedd and severe disruption was caused to the region's road network.
Aberdaron was hit by 71mph gusts at 2pm, just as the amber weather warning came to force.
Anglesey, Gwynedd, and Conwy were the worst affected areas, with the Met Office issuing an amber wind warning for the three regions as opposed to the yellow warning given to the counties towards the north-east.

Storm Francis caused severe disruption to road users across Gwynedd in particular, though no county was left completely unscathed by the adverse weather.
Falling trees were a particular problem as several roads were blocked throughout the day.
The A5, A470, A4080, A493, A494, and the A4086 were all closed at different parts of the day due to falling trees, and some took longer than others to clear.
Amongst the worst hit roads was the A5 which suffered terrible luck during the hours of the weather warning, having been hit by floods, falling trees and even a landslide.
Traffic Wales shut the road in both directions between Betws-y-Coed and Bethesda at around 7.30pm.

Ogwen to Capel Curig, the Halfway Bridge between Bangor and Bethesda, and Llandegai Road were all closed due to flooding throughout the day, with stretch between Cerrigydrudion and Glasfryn suffering disruption from a fallen tree earlier in the day next to Glangors karting.
Lanes were also closed on the A55 due to flooding and debris.
A lane on the J16 Penmaenmawr to Pen y Clip westbound was closed just before 6pm due to a large piece of debris on the road.

Prior to that, at around 5.45pm, J13 Abergwyngregyn westbound lane 1 was closed due to flooding as warnings were issued to drivers heading both directions between J15 Llanfairfechan and J12 Tal Y Bont as well as across other parts.
On the A4086 Nant Peris, Caernarfon, a number of vehicles got stuck in the floods, causing the road to shut and creating more disruption in the area.
Parts of Flintshire and Wrexham were also affected by the adverse weather.
A tree fell on a car on Mold Road, Stansty in Wrexham at around 4pm with another one falling on the A548 Westbound at Bagillt less than 10 minutes later.

Natural Resources Wales put out a number of flood alerts throughout the day as well, starting off with six before reaching ten by around 6pm.
Alerts were in place across numerous catchments, including: Conwy, Vyrnwy, Dyfi, Glaslyn and Dywryd, Dolgellau Mawddach and Wnion, Lower Dee Valley from Llangollen to Trevalyn Meadows, and North Gwynedd.
Parts of Gwynedd suffered power outages earlier in the day, with Scottish Power confirming that Blaenau Ffestiniog, Dolgellau and Tywyn were all hit with power outages between 2pm and 3pm.
