The team members kept fruits inside the cage. Once the monkeys attempt to eat the fruits, the cage door will be closed.
Five monkeys were roaming in the area. An assistant professor named Saraswathi Ramesh approached forest department officials on Monday asking them to capture the monkeys.
The forest department said people from Coimbatore forest division can contact the rapid response toll free number (1800 4254 5456) to report any wildlife issues including wildlife crime and man-animal conflict.
