MUMBAI: One person was arrested from Dahisar in the murder case of a developer from Karnataka who was shot dead earlier this month. The conspiracy to murder Sayyed Irfan alias Irfan Fruit was hatched in Mumbai earler this month by members of a littleknown gangster, Yusuf Bachkana, who is lodged in a jail in Karnataka, the police said.
The person arrested by the crime branch of the city police was identified as Rajendra Rawat alias Raju Nepali, a key conduit of Bachkana’s gang. Five others have been arrested by the Hubbali police.
DCP Akbar Pathan said a police team led by inspector Sagar Shivalkar and Hemant Gite got a tip-off that the “main person Raju Nepali who played a key role in arranging shooters and weapons was in Mumbai”. said Pathan.
Nepali, said sources, has named four shooters whom he had engaged to kill Irfan Fruit, and police teams are looking for them.
