Koenigsegg Agera XS Has Bespoke Parts And A 1,341 HP Engine

Koenigsegg builds some of the most insane production cars on earth, and the one-of-one Agera XS is one of its finest.

Built four years ago for a wealthy collector in Miami who, among other exotics, also owns a Lamborghini Veneno, the Agera XS is based on the Agera RS but features a host of custom touches that differentiate it from all of its counterparts. Jonny Liberman recently had the opportunity to test out the XS on the street, and while we only have a 4-minute review to enjoy, it is still worth watching.

Immediately making the Agera XS stand out from all other Koenigseggs is the exterior finish. Adorning the bodywork is a bright shade of orange that is offset by a host of gloss and matte carbon fiber parts, such as the roof, roof scoop, and the towering rear wing. Speaking of the wing, it is distinct from all other Koenigsegg variants and further adds to the vehicle’s wild looks.

Then there is the engine. While most Agera RS models come outfitted with a 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 rated at 1,160 hp, the XS has been equipped with the One:1 power upgrade, which means it pumps out 1,341 hp at 7,500 rpm and 1,010 lb-ft (1,370 Nm) of torque at 6,000 rpm.

As you can probably imagine, such insane horsepower and torque figures result in a car that is absolutely bonkers to drive, particularly on public roads, as it seems to have endless amounts of grunt and a sense of urgency that its rivals simply cannot match.
