A major fire broke in the Omni Bus stand near Koyembedu Market.

The private omni buses that connect Chennai to major cities and near by states, were stationed in the Koyembedu Omni Bus stand.
Due to the prevailing lock down situation, no public transport vehicles were operational for the past 5 months. Mean while a major fire broke in the bus stand, gutting down 3 private buses.
The Fire tenders were immediately rushed and the blaze was doused and no casualities reported, according to the officials.
