LUCKNOW: A day after the arrest of terror suspect Abdul Yusuf Khan for planning a blast in the national capital, the special cell of the Delhi police made massive recoveries from the suspect's residence in Balrampur district of Uttar Pradesh.
A team of the special cell along with local police have reached suspect's residence on Saturday evening.
A senior police official privy to the probe said that an ISIS flag, a leather belt containing explosive 3Kg approx, 8-9Kg explosives in four different polythenes were seized.
He also said that further one-ampere meter Yellow colour, two Lithium batteries of 4V each, one lithium battery 9V, a brown colour jacket containing three explosive packets, a blue colour check design jacket containing four explosive packets, Three cylindrical metal boxes (Himgange Oil boxes) containing explosive and electric wires wrapped with transparent tape and a table alarm watch attached with electric wires, were also recovered from his possession, said the officer.
All the explosives were defused safely, he further added.
Meanwhile, his wife Ayesha told TOI that Yusuf used to watch videos on prohibited sites day night and did not allow anyone to enter his room. She also tried to dissuade Yusuf from indulging in such terror activities but he used to physically torture her.
Parents of Yusuf were also in a state of shock after the recoveries made by the police.
